Under the Conservatives, locally and nationally, our most vulnerable residents have had their support systems ripped away from them. We believe it is our duty to support them.
Conservatives locally have pushed over 4000 vulnerable families to breaking point by cutting £1.3 million of vital Council tax support.
We will always stand up for our most vulnerable residents and families.
Harrow used to be a peaceful residential area, but crime and anti social behaviour has been on the rise, with 1,490 ASB incidents reported last year.
We will work hard to make Harrow safe again through partnership with the local police and community stakeholders.
Service charges, council tax and prices have gone up in Harrow over the last three years. We believe Harrow should be affordable for all our residents.
This year, Harrow Conservatives put council tax up by the maximum 5%, turned their backs on local businesses by removing free evening parking in town centres, and increased Council service charges by 7.3%.
Despite promises to freeze council tax before the last election in 2022, it has instead gone up by the maximum 5% every year, for an overall increase of 20% over their four year term.
Year on year, Harrow’s streets get dirtier.
Under Harrow’s Conservatives, residential cleaning has been reduced, fly tipping incidents at a record high of over 12,000 over 2023/24, residents and businesses say district and town centres are getting dirtier, and our park bins overflow with waste- Labour will conduct a root and branch review of our waste strategy and clean up Harrow.
